On Monday March 18, 2019, the campus Visiting Day for prospective PhD students, the Designated Emphasis in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies will hold an informal wine and cheese gathering at the end of the day to give admitted students the opportunity to learn about the program and meet some of our current students. We will gather in the GWS conference room in Barrows 602, 5:00-6:00 pm.
Students apply to join the Designated Emphasis if they are interested in complementing their disciplinary work with more in-depth engagement with the field of gender and sexuality studies. Most students apply in the fall of their second year, and many of our current students say that knowing this was a possibility influenced their decision to accept their departmental offers. We would be happy to facilitate that process by meeting them at this early stage, to talk about the program and answer any questions they might have.
Anyone who can’t make it but wants further information is welcome to contact Professor Leslie Salzinger directly by email.
