The Chau Hoi Shuen Foundation Fund for Gender & Women’s Studies

Thank you to the Chau Hoi Shuen Foundation for their generous financial support of the Department of Gender & Women’s Studies.

The Fund is used to support three objectives:

To bring visiting scholars whose work is focused on gender research and teaching from China, to be in residence at the BBRG.
To support conferences, public lectures and workshops, with an emphasis on transnational feminist studies.
To support collaborative research between scholars from UC Berkeley and from China on Gender and Science in China and elsewhere; the research will seek to understand and ameliorate conditions that perpetuate the underrepresentation of women in science.
